Legal Notice for Ground Truth Asia
This notice states who publishes Ground Truth Asia, how the site is delivered, and what happens to visitor data. It is kept short and plain, in keeping with a magazine that asks its sources to be checkable and holds itself to the same standard.
Editor and publisher
Ground Truth Asia is an independent online magazine about satellite remote sensing in Asia. The editorial team writes, edits and maintains all articles published on this site and is reachable through the contact page, which is also the channel for corrections. The magazine has no affiliation with any space agency, research body or association described in its pages, a position detailed on the about page. Articles are signed by the editorial team collectively; factual claims are sourced to the public publications of the agencies and archives concerned.
Intellectual property
The texts, structure and original graphics of this site are the property of the publication. Satellite imagery, mission logos and dataset screenshots, where they appear, remain the property of the operating agencies and are used in accordance with their public attribution policies, which each article cites. Quotations from agency pages are brief and attributed. Readers may quote short passages of the magazine's texts with attribution and a link; systematic republication requires written agreement.
Hosting and delivery
The site is fully static: pages are generated in advance and delivered through a content delivery network, with no application server, no database and no user accounts. Only the network infrastructure of the delivery provider processes requests, under its own terms and privacy policy.
Data and privacy
The magazine sets no advertising or tracking cookies and runs no analytics scripts of its own. The server logs ordinarily produced by any web delivery, request time, requested page, status code, are handled by the hosting infrastructure for security and operational purposes and are not used to profile readers. No newsletter is operated, no accounts are created, and no comment system collects personal data. Mail sent to the editorial address is used solely to answer it and to correct the articles concerned.
External links
Articles link to public data portals, agency pages and archives so readers can verify sources themselves. These destinations are outside the magazine's control; a link is a reference, not an endorsement of the destination's current content, and broken links are repaired on notice, as described on the contact page.
Accuracy and corrections
Every guide states its uncertainties, and factual errors are corrected in the article body once established, with credit to the reader who reported them unless that reader prefers otherwise. Updates to mission facts, access rules and archive addresses are made as agencies publish changes, and readers relying on a figure for professional work are encouraged to confirm it against the linked primary source.
